Myanmar is growing and expanding in many new ways, and teachers will be the ones to help it move forward. Our teachers have the chance to pass along their knowledge of English and other subjects and topics to Myanmar children and adults, who will use that knowledge to improve Myanmar in a major way. This teaching experience is an incredible chance for those wanting to make a huge difference in the world!
Description
Each summer, over a million kids and teens in America attend summer camps for 1-8 weeks. Camp Directors hire 18-30-year-olds from around the world as Camp Counsellors and Activity Specialists.
With 10,000+ camps, there are countless roles available—from working with kids with disabilities to teaching sports and running crafts. You’ll live in amazing locations, make lifelong friends, and positively impact young lives.
Camp is intense but incredibly rewarding. You’ll also get time to explore—hiking, swimming, and barbecuing—plus, your J-1 visa lets you travel for 30 days after camp.
We work with top partners who’ve placed Summer Campers since 1962. Most of our team has been to camp, offering expert advice and personalized support to help you land the perfect role.

Summer camp runs for around nine weeks each summer, between May/June and mid-August.
Arrival dates are set between 1st May and 20th June and you must be available for a minimum of nine weeks.
Preference is often given to applicants who are available at an earlier date and for longer periods of time, so for the best chance of securing a placement, make sure you are open and flexible.
